2021 Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year

It's been a long time since I visited the Australian Museum. I used to go there quite regularly to see photography and other exhibits but in the last 5-10 years, most likely due to being overseas more often, I found I haven't gone as frequently. In the last 2 years, covid-19 contributed to not going out of the house much either.

Kristine and I visited the Australian Museum to look through the 2021 Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year photographs. As usual, entry was free and there wasn't too many people so I got to spend my time reading about each photograph and admiring all the little details in them. If you're unable to make it but wish to view all the photographs, you can purchase a book of the photos from their store. If you've got time between now and the 30th January 2022, I recommend dropping by and having a look at the exhibit. One of my favourite photos from the exhibit was taken by Isacc Wishart. I typically love portrait photographs of apes and don't see much personality in reptile photographs but this photo of a southern forest dragon really captured my interest. It almost felt like it was posing for his photograph.
